The 8th Raid-de- Himalaya would be flagged off from Shimla on 30th September, 2006. The Event is co-organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports and H.P. Motor Sports Association. Rally would conclude at Manali on the evening of 6th October, 2006. The Rally would cover a distance of approximately 2100 km through the most rugged terrain of the Himalayas i.e. Shimla, Manali, Kaza, Keylong, Sarchu, Leh, Lukung and back to Manali.
